Get to work, boy!

Tom's weight has increased from 122 to 155 in just six weeks. He's still exercising - he rode 10 miles on the bicycle today - and he's doing yoga which has made him feel very good. Overall he's doing great. The only thing that's still an issue is neuropathy which is nerve damage to the extremities (hopefully temporary). It makes his hands tremor and makes his feet feel like he's wearing socks when he's not: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/peripheral-neuropathy/DS00131.

Big news - Tom has been offered an opportunity to return to work...at home! He is so excited (he hasn't worked for the last 16 months). We already have an office in our basement with everything he needs. As much as he would prefer to work alongside his colleagues, he is grateful to just be able to work again. It's obvious that he works for a great company with wonderful people, not to mention the fact that he's going stir crazy being couped up inside all day, every day. I just want him to take it easy and not rush or stress himself. I can tell he's really ready.

One last thing - we have our dogs back! Tom can't snuggle with them but he can pet them if he washes his hands afterward. They've spent the last five months at my mom's house, which is a rustic, farm-like, solar powered house on 10 acres with a creek - a very cool place, especially for two high-energy dogs (thanks, 10-acre clan...ya'll are awesome!).

Strange thing.....we can have our pets now but children are still not allowed to visit. I guess children are exposed to more germs than are indoor pets. Katie is absolutely dying to host a sleepover, and she will!

No news about the marrow biopsy yet.
