Friends, Tom's prognosis does not look good. The leukemia has spread to his brain. I will keep you posted, maybe not daily, but I will update you periodically.
Please keep his family in your thoughts as we stay positive.

I too feel that there are not adequate words to express how I feel. First Mike, then Mama, now Tom. I am so grateful for the times that I have had with him. I will not give up hope just yet. I am praying for everyone. Erin
Lisa, Tell Tom I'm still guarding his cubicle and will continue to. I miss Tom very much as we all do. There is comfort in knowing that so many people care about and love Tom. And that same love and caring will surround you and Katie to help you stay strong.

Lisa, I'm sure it was very difficult for you to tell Katie about this. Norma and I remember how proud you and Tom were when we visited you in the hospital right after Katie was born. We will never forget how happy you both were over this. Now, you have had to become so much stronger. Life events and situations strengthen us in ways we can't see at the time. It appears that cancer doesn't play favorites, it comes to great people, to fighting people, to movers and shakers as well as common folks. If we could all wave our hands and remove this blight we would. Everyone who has come into contact with Tom has been blessed with his enthusiasm, wit and wisdom. I have missed his emails. This is a time for maturing for everyone. God bless you all.

I am so happy for you and it's great to know he is responding. I kinda felt like he knew it was me and Michelle yesterday because he seemed to be agitated when we told him we were going home so he could rest. All three of you are in our hearts.
