Tom's going home!
The doctor just visited and said Tom is doing much better. His white cell count (white cells ward off infection) is up and the sores in his mouth will heal more quickly. He said it's very likely that Tom will get to go home on Sunday or Monday. The physician's assistant got our hopes up this morning by telling us that Tom might go home tomorrow. How cruel!
