Quick note

Tom still looks much better. Unlike yesterday he slept most of the time I was there today. He only took one short nap yesterday. The doctor says if he can get his fever under control then he could potentially go home tomorrow (Friday). Tom has a consistent fever that stays between 99 - 101. A fever above 100.5 is considered serious for a bone marrow transplant patient.

He doesn't eat much more than a few ounces of yogurt. He drinks a little bit of apple juice and water. He's weak but able to stand up and move carefully. It's difficult though because he's attached to so many IV tubes and has to push the pole they are all connected to around with him. He was supposed to walk down the hall this evening - I'll let you know how that went tomorrow. Sorry for the late update!
