PEG tube

The GI (gastrointestinal) doctor stopped by yesterday and told us that Tom will have a feeding tube inserted through his navel if he can't start eating. The feeding tube in his nose can only be used for a maximum of two weeks. The stomach tube, aka Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy tube (PEG tube), can remain indefinitely.
