Home on Monday?

Tom sure looks good today. He's wide awake, checking out his new cell phone, and eating pancakes.

The doctor has increased the daily dose of steroids, given to ward off GVHD, hoping that Tom's body will respond. If so, he may get to go home on Monday. At this point that doesn't really mean much to us. We don't get our hopes up anymore.

Katie is doing great. She's out of town with some friends and having a blast. She sends me cute little text messages. Katie is handling everything so well, especially our go-with-the-flow schedule. I'm very proud of her.

Back to another day of The History Channel, internet surfing, sudoku...and this STUPID mask! It's uncomfortable and it smells like chemicals. And I have to wear it for 10 hours a day. I have no room to complain though.

Good to hear! Hope he can come home. I'll cross my fingers! I'm going to go to Office Max shortly to get him the cordless mouse and velcro tape that we discussed last night. I'll bring it to him tomorrow.

Tom, you do look bright eyed and bushy tailed. Maybe you will be heading home Monday. I hate it that you have to be subjected to all this, but I know that you are very strong and will persevere. This too shall pass.
I love you.
