Relay For Life

Katie is preparing for the annual Relay For Life which is an event that raises money to help fund cancer research. This will be her second year participating and she is so excited. It's a meaningful way for Katie to feel like she's making a difference and helping her daddy.

I'm just like Katie -- happy to find a way that makes me feel I can help a little.

Katie was with us all night long at last year's Roswell Relay for Life on May 9th, the day of Tom's transplant. What a year it's been! We are excited to have her as part of the team again this year, and she's already helped with fundraising with a lemonade stand, selling coupon books, and helping at events. Our team (Mountain Park ES) has raised about $10,000 toward our goal of $15,000, and it's an incredible experience to see all these kids so excited about making a difference in the fight against cancer. If you're in the Roswell area, come on out to the Relay on May 8th and see Katie and the rest of us!
