Just another bump in the road

Tom is doing just fine! Other than a headache and some serious bruising he seems like the "normal" Tom. He's not saying random things anymore. The doctor said that he bruised part of his brain but that there is no sign of an aneurysm. He may get to go home tomorrow!

The doctors at the hospital where he is currently admitted as well as his bone marrow transplant doctors are concerned about his low platelet count. His regular, stable, safe platelet count has been 120,000. It is currently at 65,000. He may have something called ITP. I haven't done much research yet but here is a link for you and me both to study:

More info as it becomes available...

Sure glad I didn't see the 12/26 entry on its own. I much prefer 12/27's entry.

My best wishes and always a good thought for the successful outcome for you all.

Hang tough, Tom! BK
