Tom looks so much better than he did a week ago. He's talking, using the computer, talking on the phone, and eating. He's the old Tom that you know. He's eating pizza, hotdogs, milkshakes, pancakes. Thank goodness for steroids!
He's still working on walking. If he can improve on that a little then he can go home in a few days. He's so ready to leave the hospital that he no longer has a problem with the idea of using a walker.
He's up to having visitors now so if you want to stop by call him first to see what delicious food you can bring him. (678) 549-4722

All hail to the chocolate milkshake! I'm so happy to read this fantastic news. Tom, you be careful. Just enjoy the food and take baby steps with that walking around stuff. You'll get there soon enough. Think how much easier it will be with a walker and how more practice you can do. Then you can "work it". Ya know what I'm sayin'? Okay, before all the craziness, I was on a mission to go buy some regional foods to fatten you up. I'm delighted to know that I get to resume my quest. I've been to a few websites and educated myself on the neutropenic diet so I'm armed with new knowledge. Woo! Hoo! Enjoy every mouthful!
Hugs & Love,
Elise
This is awesome awesome news indeed. I laughed when I read your post about the chicken salad. That sounds like Tom alright. If you first don't succeed, try try again. :)
And thank God for powerful prayer! I am so happy to hear that the eating machine is back. Tom, you might just be ready for a boat ride on Lake Lanier Labor Day weekend...? You could use a little wind on your hair. Yes, I said hair! Hope you, Lisa and Katie can join us for a visit no matter how short.
Love, Yo sista, Erin
Just put a basket and a bell on that walker and shuffle on out of there. Great to hear the news.
Lisa and Tom,
You have so much positive energy out here, I'm not surprised with the good news! But I am happy to share in your joy. Let us know when he gets home and feeling better there.
Love and Light,
Dale
